Anthony has a BA LLB (Wits University). He was admitted as an advocate of the High Court and became a member of the Johannesburg Bar in June 1990.

His area of practice is in the field of civil litigation generally with contract law being his speciality.

He has sat as an arbitrator on a handful of occasions.
