Caroline was called to the Bar in 2004.

Caroline's practice is commercial law and tax litigation, including customs and excise. Her field of practice includes aspects of public administration law.

Caroline has served as a acting judge both in the high court and tax court.

Caroline is a member of the Arbitration of South Africa commercial panel and sits as an arbitrator in commercial disputes.

Caroline read a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Industrial Sociology and Law at the University of Witwatersrand and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Cape Town. Caroline holds a degree as a Master of Law in taxation from the University of South Africa.

Caroline was admitted as an attorney in 1995 and practised for 7 years in commercial litigation before spending 2 years with the South African Revenue Service as a tax lawyer.

Caroline is an actively involved in the Johannesburg Society of Advocates advocacy training program since 2010. In addition to training pupils of the JSA, Caroline has been involved in the GCB advocacy training for pupils of the North West and Polokwane Bars.

Caroline has actively served the Johannesburg Society of Advocates as a member of both Bar council and its sub-committees for the past 15 years. Caroline is currently a member of the 2019 / 2020 bar council and serves as its internal auditor. Caroline is a member of the Gauteng Provincial Legal Practice disciplinary and fees subcommittee. Caroline is an avid runner. After earning her Comrades green number (10 finishers), numerous Two Oceans and other marathons, she has turned her focus to trail running. Amongst Caroline’s other challenges are mastering the art of clay throwing, learning to play the saxophone and keeping her beagles under control.
