Nicky joined the Bar in 2010, after 14 years in the Information Communication and Technology sector. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts (1991) and LLB (1993) degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand.

Nicky has a diverse legal practice in the fields of general commercial law, insolvency and winding up, contractual disputes and claims, property law (including sectional titles, shareblock schemes, CSOS and other), construction disputes, consumer law (including FICA and FIAS compliance and the National Credit Act and Consumer Protection Act), family law, administrative law, delictual and defamation matters (particularly involving social media), other disputes arising from social media.

Nicky is an accredited Fellow of the Association of Arbitrators (South Africa) and is qualified to sit as an arbitrator. She is set to qualify as a mediator in terms of the Society of Mediators Course UK, offered by the Association of Arbitrators (South Africa) in July 2021.
