Refilwe was called to the bar and joined the Johannesburg Society of Advocates in December 2020. She holds an LLB degree from the University of Johannesburg.

Prior to joining the bar, she worked as a judge’s clerk for the Honourable Justice Mphahele and the Honourable Justice Hughes. Thereafter she completed her articles of clerkship as well as practical legal training.

Refilwe has a general litigation practice with an interest in labour law, criminal law, commercial law, family law, administrative law, personal injury claims, restraints of trade, and evictions.
