Bio
Sarah joined the Bar in 2010. Sarah’s practice is predominantly in the field of labour and employment law and related disputes such as restraint of trade applications. She appears in all the labour tribunals, including the Labour Court, the Labour Appeal
Court, the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration and various Bargaining Council dispute resolution bodies. She is also briefed in private arbitrations and internal disciplinary processes.
Sarah is accredited by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR UK) as a commercial mediator. She is also an accredited advocacy trainer and has been involved in training pupils at the Johannesburg Bar since 2019.
Sarah has been a part-time lecturer at the University of Johannesburg since 2016. She lectures various modules in the Post Graduate Diploma in Labour Law. Sarah also lectures aspirant CCMA commissioners in the Certificate Programme in Labour
Dispute Resolution Practice offered by Stellenbosch University.
Sarah is periodically invited to act as a Judge of the Labour Court of South Africa.
