Sarajulie joined the Bar in 2005. She was formerly admitted as an attorney. She completed her BProc, LLB and LLM (Masters in International Commercial Law) degrees from the University of South Africa. She is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales. She also holds an Advanced Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from AFSA and The University of Pretoria.
Sarajulie’s practice is predominantly in the field of labour and employment law including the law of restraints of trade and unlawful competition. She also has commercial and civil litigation experience.
She appears predominantly in labour tribunals including the Labour Court, the Labour Appeal Court, the Commission for Conciliation Mediation and Arbitration and various Bargaining Council dispute resolution bodies. In addition, she is briefed in private arbitrations and internal disciplinary enquiries.
She has acted on behalf of major corporate entities, as well as on behalf of individuals and trade unions. She deals with both collective and individual labour law matters.
Sarajulie has held an appointment as an Acting Judge on the Labour Court Bench.
She is an accredited arbitrator and mediator through AFSA and the University of Pretoria (2012).
She has chaired about 35 disciplinary hearings and has acted as an arbitrator and mediator.
