Sinclair completed his BProc and LLB degrees from the University of KwaZulu Natal. He thereafter obtained an LLM (Masters in Labour Law) and a Diploma in Corporate Law from the University of Johannesburg.

Sinclair’s practice is predominantly in the field of labour and employment law. He appears in the Constitutional Court, Labour Appeal Court, Labour Court and in the labour law adjudicative forums in a wide variety of matters. A significant number of cases he has appeared in have been reported. Sinclair has also acted as a Judge of the Labour Court.

His practice also includes contract law, arbitrations, insolvency law and business rescue, company law, administrative law and telecommunications law.
