Thabo Motloung is a Seasoned professional offering a wealth of experience and a proven track record of delivering results. He studied a National Diploma in Internal Auditing from Vaal University of Technology from 1995 and completed the Management Advancement Program (MAP) at Wits Business School in 2002. In 2014, he earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Milpark Education Business School. Furthering his academic development, he completed an LLB degree with the University of South Africa in 2022 and he is currently pursuing an LLM in Corporate Law with the University of South Africa.

His career began in 1999 in Business Development within the ITC industry, before transitioning into Banking where he held senior management roles over 10 years. Following his corporate tenure, he moved on to pursue an entrepreneurial path and founded TNT Group in 2012, where he served as Managing Director. In 2024 he accepted the call to the Bar, marking the beginning of his legal practice.

Between 2016 and 2023, he held multiple board appointments across several Municipal-Owned Entities, contributing to strategic oversight and governance expertise. He served as a Non-Executive Director at the Johannesburg Social Housing Company, for 3 years, where he also chaired the Internal Audit Committee. Additionally, he served as a Non-Executive Director at the Johannesburg Property Company, chairing the Internal Audit Committee for one year. He’s tenure at the Johannesburg Development Agency spanned 2 years as a Non-Executive Director, and he also held the role of Board Chairperson at the Johannesburg Roads Agency for one year. These roles have strengthened his capabilities in corporate governance, risk management, and public sector accountability.

As an Advocate, he a member of the Johannesburg Society of Advocates and affiliated with the Rivonia Group of Advocates. He specializes incorporate and commercial law, with a strong focus on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, administrative law, and contractual disputes. Drawing on a robust business background and executive experience, he provides strategic, tailored legal solutions that align with client’s commercial objectives.
