Bio
Vicky was admitted as an attorney in 2012, and did pupillage at the Johannesburg Bar in 2018 after a few years in academia. She holds an LLB degree with distinction from Rhodes University and an LLM degree in Commercial Law from the University of Cambridge. She also holds a joint BA Honours degree in History and Classical Civilization and a PGDHE, both from Rhodes University.
Vicky has been a member of the Rivonia Group of Advocates since 2021. Immediately prior to joining the Rivonia Group, Vicky was a member of the legal team at the Judicial Commission of Inquiry into Allegations of State Capture, Corruption and Fraud in the Public Sector Including Organs of State (State Capture Commission). Since then, Vicky has represented state and private entities in matters of public procurement and corruption. Vicky also has a general commercial practice, has appeared in the High Court, Labour Court and Supreme Court of Appeal, and has acted as a judge in the Labour Court.
Vicky is a mediator trained to conduct both family and commercial mediations. She practices as a mediator on the panel of ADR Network SA for the purposes of Rule 41A court-annexed mediations.
